The Guaza Mountain is one of the most representative volcanic domes on the island, along with the lava flows resulting from its eruption. In this area, pre-Hispanic remains have been found, including caves, remnants of ancient huts, and burial sites.
Due to its significance, it was declared a Natural Monument in 1994.
